Huntington Quilters gathered on March 9 at the Northport Library for a day long workshop with Pat Yamin. After seeing Pat’s wonderful presentation of quilts old and new at our March meeting, we were eager to master her Ozark Tile quilt. Pat provided us with the hints we needed to use her handy templates, and then all in attendance went to work cutting and sewing under Pat’s watchful eye. Some enjoyed piecing by machine, while others pieced their blocks by hand. There was concentration, laughter, and a bit of unsewing now and then, and by afternoon, some marvelous Ozark Tile motifs were on their way to completion. It will be fun to see the finished quilts at upcoming meetings’ Show and Tell time.
