The Guild meets the first Tuesday of each month from September to June, from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. at the Centerport Methodist Church; 97 Little Neck Road; Centerport, NY 11721. This is located on Little Neck Road, Centerport, NY, just north of Rt. 25A. During July and August, informal gatherings take place with members working on individual projects.
Huntington Quilters encourages members to create original nametags (muslin with the guild logo is provided at the membership table if desired) and wear them to the meetings. As a reward, all wearers are entered into a free raffle for a small prize that evening.
Our regular meetings are focused on demonstrations of special projects, techniques, and presenting guest lectures. In addition to our regular activities, members are encouraged to bring projects for show & tell, and chances are sold for books to be raffled during the meeting.
Each month, members take turns bringing dessert as well as helping to set up or clean up. Hot and cold beverages are provided by the Guild. You will be contacted in advance to let you know which month you are to help. At the December and June meetings, we celebrate with buffet dinners among the members. These are nights when all members bring either an appetizer or dessert to share.
Remaining 2012 Meeting Dates:
