Spring Fling Sign Ups! Bring in your brown paper bag, filled with either 3 fat quarters plus a 1/2 yard of fabric OR 5 fat quarters. This was great fun last year, and I hope many of us will participate again.
Holiday Gift Exchange – Bring a wrapped present, something new that you would like to receive, valued at $10 if you want to participate in the holiday exchange.
The Fat Quarter of the month is 1930s retros!
Operation Veronica – donations will be accepted at the December meeting – A message from Gilma – My friend, Janet Godfrey, of Operation Veronica, came and picked up all the donations for the soldiers at my home. She was overwhelmed, as was I, by your generosity. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart! Because of your donations of pillow cases, food and toiletries, men and women fighting overseas will be having a much nicer holiday this year. It means so much to these soldiers to know that people back home are thinking of them. If you forgot to bring something in and still like to donate, I can still get it to Janet. Again, my sincerest thank you and God bless you all!
Quilt Camp will be held on March 21 at the CENTERPORT Church (where we used to meet). If you can teach a class, please email Mickey or Pauline, and let them know! Quilt Camp is always a great way to celebrate National Quilting Day.
On December 1, the display of our members quilts will open at Harborfields Library. I hope to see many of you there. The reception will be December 5, from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. If you bring cookies, please NO chocolate.
If there are any other reminders you would like to add for the December meeting, please let me know.
Check back for updates!
