DECEMBER 5, 2017 HOLIDAY PARTY MEETING REMINDER
There are a few reminders for the Tuesday, December 5, 2017 HOLIDAY PARTY. Meeting starts at 7:30 pm.
The meeting hall will be open at 6:00 pm. Won’t you please come down before the meeting start time and help us set up the hall for our party.
Hospitality For Our Holiday Party… Looking forward to the wonderful appetizers and desserts everyone brings. We will be having chicken and ham as our main course along with a delicious punch. A-K please bring a dessert. L-M please bring an appetizer.

Raffle Quilt… We will be drawing the winning ticket at our December meeting. You have to be in it to win it. If you haven’t already done so, please remember to bring your sold raffle ticket stubs and money. Thank you, The Raffle Quilt Committee
Block of the Month… Hope you are enjoying putting together the Present Block and Snowman Block. They are both due at the January meeting. Looking forward to seeing your creativity! Thank you! Karen Weiderman and Barbara Oestel
HOLIDAY GIFT SWAP – Remember to bring a new, wrapped, $10 sewing related gift if you are participating in the holiday gift swap!
ORNAMENT SWAP – Bring a wrapped, homemade ornament if you’d like to participate in the Christmas ornament exchange!
Also bring a pen for our puzzle for a chance to win a prize!
Operation Veronica… Lucille will be collecting any pillowcases or supplies and food for Operation Veronica at the Tuesday December 5th meeting.
Once again, Janet Godfrey from Operation Veronica would like to thank all the members for their generous donations. We collected 46 pillowcases and five cartons of food and supplies. Our Troops serving overseas will greatly welcome these donations! Thank you!
UPCOMING PROGRAM REMINDERS…
MICHELLE HIATT’S – Jenn’s Journey – Spots are still available for Michelle Hiatt’s class on January 20th at Christ Lutheran Church- sign up and bring a check if you are interested in joining us!
The TUFFET Class is FULL- thanks to everyone who signed up- we will have a great time! Also remember, this class is at the Centerport Methodist Church on Saturday December 9th (Our old meeting spot) from 9-4:30pm
The “HOHL” Challenge…We hope everyone is working on the “hohl” challenge quilts due in January. If you have any questions, please contact Liz Dragone.
SHOW and TELL… There is no Show and Tell at the Holiday Party. But those of you who shared your quilts at the November meeting, if you would like, you may bring in your quilts and share them with the members once again.
Quilt Retreat… All quilters who have signed up for the April 2018 retreat to Shelter Island can bring their checks to the December meeting. Checks are to be made payable to Huntington Quilters in the amount of $175.00. Thanks, Lucie
Food Pantry… During this busy holiday time, let us not forget those among us who could use a bit of help. Please bring in any non-perishable food items for the church pantry.
