Hello Ladies!

It would appear that the Groundhog might have been somewhat correct in his prediction of an early Spring. It feels like it’s starting to warm up, even if it is just a little bit! Keep sewing and quilting to help stay warm!

This is the April 2, 2019 Meeting Reminder message.

President message – Michelina Maguire... “Hello my fellow quilts friends, I will not be at the April meeting. My husband is turning 60 on April 2, the night of the meeting!  I felt the need to celebrate this milestone with him. I hope you all understand. Peg Schroeder has graciously volunteered to step up and fill in for me!! Kathy Kelner will be opening the doors. My deepest appreciation to them for her time and help! I hope you all enjoy the evening and I look forward to seeing all of you in May.

President’s Challenge Quilt – Hope everyone is working on their President’s Challenge quilt. The quilts are due at the June 4, 2019 meeting. The theme is the four seasons. It must be four – 10″ block, any configuration you would like. Can’t wait to see your creativity!

Guild Positions Open – We still need volunteers for the 2019-2021 Board Members and Committee positions. Please volunteer for these very worthwhile positions and keep our guild going strong.

Membership – Janice and Sue…. The Fat Quarter color for this month is FLORALS!

Block of the Month – Karen and Barbara…. Don’t forget to bring in your blocks.  Looking forward to seeing your blocks at the meeting. Do you have questions or need help? Call Karen or Barbara.

Hospitality – Joan and Diane…. Cards were sent to members asking them to please bring in a dessert for hospitality.

Programs – Jean, Alyson and Liz…. In April we will have a member based meeting. We are asking EVERYONE to please bring in a favorite quilt that they have made for an extended show and tell. We haven’t had that kind of shared program in a while.

Quilt Retreat – Lucie…. The April retreat is completely booked. November retreat spaces still available.

Pro-Bono Quilts – Deb and Lorraine…. Hello ladies, Happy Spring, Everyone is doing a great job donating pro bono quilts. Keep up the good work!!! There will be kits available at the meeting and don’t forget to hand in any quilts you have completed. Thanks once again for all your efforts, they are truly appreciated.

2019 Raffle Quilt – Kathy…. Quilt in process! Will post more as work progresses.

QUILT CAMP – Jo and Madeline…. The date will be Saturday, May 18, 2019. Don’t forget to sign up for a class at our April Meeting in you haven’t done so. If you just want to come and enjoy the day this is your opportunity to do so. Catch up on your sewing and getting to know your fellow quilters. Keep in mind to be at the Burr Rd. and Larkfield Rd. Church 8:15am for a light breakfast with coffee. Members will go to their assigned tables at 8:55 to start class 9:00am. Bring your lunch. Any salads or desserts to share with all will be appreciated. Jo Morrish, Chairperson, Madeline Emmons, Assistant

Row by Row Quilts – Judy….. The Row by Row project has reached the halfway point with five rows completed. It begins to get more difficult to think of ideas as all the easy ones have been used. Anticipation is growing for the unveiling of the rows in June. Thanks Judy

Book Raffle – Lucille…. Book raffle tickets will be available for sale at the meeting. Come by and take a look and take a chance on a book!!!

Operation Veronica – Lucille and Gilma…. Continued thanks for the donations to this very worthy cause. Collections will continue at each meeting.

Website and Facebook – Kathy…. Always updating information. Come take a look and see what’s happening!

Food Pantry – If you have any non-perishable food items to donate, please bring them in to the meeting and we will leave them for the church’s Food Pantry.
