This is the December 3, 2019 Meeting Reminder! Here are the messages and reminders for the meeting.

PRESIDENT – Hilory B…..I hope everybody remembers their food assignments as per the Hospitality Chairmen. If you would like to participate in the gift exchange a wrapped present should be make or purchased costing $10.00 or so. Looking forward to the festivities.

MEMBERSHIP – Lucille I. and Laura L and Kathy R….The latest Membership Roster was sent by email to all members.  Please look over the Membership roster and see if any changes or corrections need to be made to your info. Send any changes to Lucille I.

There will be no fat quarter or name tag raffle at the meeting due to the holiday party. Just make sure you sign in. Happy Holidays to all!

HOSPITALITY – Joan C. and Diane M…..The Hospitality Committee would like to remind everyone of our up coming Holiday Dinner Party.  If your last name begins with A – K, please bring desserts. PROGRAMS – Michelina M….I’d like to thank everyone for your tremendous participation at the November meeting!! I was so happy to see so many members! Florence, our guest vendor, could not say enough wonderful things about all of you!! She thanked me several times for all the help she received packing up. I hope you all enjoyed having her, I know she enjoyed being there!!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the UFO challenge!! I think it went well and you all had fun!! Number one is due in January.

If you have a “Round Robin Block” please bring it to the meeting so we may pass it along.

We have an amazing turnout for the January “RaNae Merrill, Mastery in a Month” workshop! Thank you everyone!!! If you have not paid for the class yet, please remember to bring your check. I will have your material and preparation list at the meeting.

For December – Ornament exchange. Your handmade ornament should be placed in a brown paper bag. I will have some in the event you forget. Gift exchange; a $10. Gift {or more, if you’re feeling especially generous} Remember – Black Friday is coming up and don’t forget those JoAnn coupons, you can get a $20. Gift for $10. I will have a table for you to leave your wrapped gift on when you come in. we will change things up a little.

Almost forgot something!!! There will be a Holiday Sweater contest. Not the prettiest nor the ugliest. Just whoever gets the most votes! So, wear your finest, your favorite or your ugliest! There’s a PRIZE! Of course!!

FOOD PANTRY….It is the “Giving Season” Please remember to bring in a non-perishable food item for the church’s food pantry.

RAFFLE QUILT – 2019 – Kathy K….. The raffle quilt, Scrap Happy with a Twist will be raffled off at the meeting. All tickets are due at this time. Thank you Ladies for your help and support of this project. Your assistance was greatly appreciated! Can’t wait to see who wins this beautiful quilt!

QUILT CAMP – Jo M. and Madeline E…..Looking for a few teachers for our annual Quilt Camp, March 21, 2020. Think of what you would like to make and share with other members. Contact us what you would like to make and let us know AM or PM. Bring your project to the January meeting. Sheets will be put out for members to sign up.

As always there will be a table for members to come, do their handwork and enjoy the day. Also if there is anyone interested in doing sewing machine projects, a table will be set up for those interested. Just sign up on a sheet provided at the January 2020 meeting. HONEY BEE RAFFLE – Bridgette M…..Dear Huntington Quilters – There are only two months left to donate your quilting treasures to the Honey Bee Raffle. Please visit your studios and let go of items that no longer suit your fancy. Your investment of effort will greatly contribute to the success of this highly anticipated event!

On March 3, 2020, raffle tickets will be sold 12 for $10 and 30 for $20. The $20 purchase will entitle you to enter one of your tickets into a special drawing, a basket of fat quarters. There will also be a 50/50 Raffle that night. Please prepare to dash for cash at your nearest ATM before attending this fun program.

On the evening of the December meeting I will need a few members of the honey bee raffle committee to help me transport the evening’s donations to Anne M. home.

Finally honey bee volunteers please mark January 9, 2020 at 10am on your calendars for assembling the baskets at Anne M.’s home. Your participation is greatly appreciated. Warmly, Brigitte

OPERATION VERONICA – Lucille….Once again, thank you for all your November donations! Special thanks also to Bridgette M. and the North Fork Quilters. Together, we collected five cartons of food, toiletries, 11 pillowcases and 16 washcloths for our active men and women serving overseas in honor of Veteran’s Day. All information is on the web site under Operation Veronica. Thank you! Happy Holidays!
