Member BLOCK OF THE MONTH 2017-2018
“A Few of My Favorite Things”
Each month the block will represent something significant to us about the time of the year or something we love.
Fabrics are your choice, however, background fabric may be the same or similar to bring the blocks together. Blocks will be 12 ½” unfinished.
Each month you will make one block that you will keep. Participants names will be placed in a drawing to win a half yard of coordinating fabric.
BOM instructions will be distributed at meetings only. If you miss a meeting, please ask a
friend to pick up a copy for you or call us and we will mail a copy to you.
The 12 blocks may be set in a traditional sampler layout. Additional layout will be available.
Additional Ideas!!!
Make 1 block, quilt and bind it. Add a sleeve to hang a mini wall quilt each month.
Make 3 blocks, add borders and make a table runner.
Make 4 blocks, add side borders, bind each one and make placemats for your seasonal table.
Make a small wall hanging or quilt of your favorite blocks – all or some.

NOTE: The July, August and September blocks were given out at the June Meeting. They are a watermelon slice, sunflower and a canning jar. Please contact Karen or Barbara for the instructions.
