MARCH 5, 2019 MEETING REMINDER

Hello again Ladies,

Hope everyone is staying safe and warm and looking forward to Spring, which I sincerely hope is right around the corner.

Yes, it’s that time once again! The March 5, 2019 Meeting Reminder!

President message – Michelina Maguire….President’s Challenge Quilt. Hope everyone is working on their President’s Challenge quilt. The quilts are due at the June 4, 2019 meeting. The theme is the four seasons. It must be four – 10″ block, any configuration you would like.

Membership – Janice and Sue…. The Fat Quarter color for this month is “POLKA DOTS”.

Block of the Month – Karen and Barbara…. Don’t forget to bring in your PINWHEEL blocks. This month’s Flying Pinwheel instructions are located on the block of the month tab. Looking forward to seeing your blocks at the meeting. Do you have questions or need help? Call Karen or Barbara.

Hospitality – Joan and Diane…. Cards were sent to members asking them to please bring in a dessert for hospitality.

Programs – Jean, Alyson and Liz…. Deborah Fisher is scheduled to present at our March meeting. She is author of the book Quilt Giving and a ceramic artist.

Quilt Retreat – Lucie…. The April retreat is completely booked. November retreat spaces still available.

Pro-Bono Quilts – Deb and Lorraine…. Hello Ladies, just a reminder, if you still didn’t return the quilts we worked on at the January meeting please do so. There will be kits and batting available at the meeting so you are welcome to take one if you haven’t already. Thank you to all who have donated a pro bono to fulfill your requirement for the guild. 2019 Raffle Quilt – Kathy…. Quilt in process! Will post more as work progresses.

QUILT CAMP – Jo and Madeline…. The date will be Saturday, May 18, 2019. It’s a little later than usual but we have a date! And we have a committee!! Jo and Madeline will be your hosts! Please help them by volunteering your time and talent!! Have a favorite project, tips or tricks you’d like to share with your fellow quilters?? Anyone wishing to teach a class, PLEASE bring the item for display and a project supply list. Jo and Madeline have some members who have graciously offered to teach but we can certainly use a few more classes! Who’s up for something??? For those of you not wanting to take a class, feel free to come and sit, sew and socialize!!

Row by Row Quilts – Judy….. The Row by Row project has reached the halfway point with five rows completed. It begins to get more difficult to think of ideas as all the easy ones have been used. Anticipation is growing for the unveiling of the rows in June. Thanks Judy

Book Raffle – Lucille…. Book raffle tickets will be available for sale at the meeting. Come by and take a look and take a chance on a book!!!

Operation Veronica – Lucille and Gilma…. Continued thanks for the donations to this very worthy cause. Collections will continue at each meeting.

Website and Facebook – Kathy…. Always updating information. Come take a look and see what’s happening!

Food Pantry – If you have any non-perishable food items to donate, please bring them in to the meeting and we will leave them for the church’s Food Pantry.

FEBRUARY 5, 2019 MEETING REMINDER

Hello Ladies!

Hope this note find you all staying warm and sewing to your hearts content! I’ve been trying my best! Hopefully you are also!

Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, February 5, 2019.

Membership – Janice and Sue…. The Fat Quarter color for this month is “RED”.

Block of the Month – Karen and Barbara…. Don’t forget to bring in your Red and White Heart Blocks.

Hospitality – Barbara and Joan…. Cards were sent to members asking them to please bring in a dessert for hospitality.

Programs – Jean, Alyson and Liz…. This month’s program will be a trunk show by quilter Terri Lucas. Don’t miss this very talented free motion quilter’s program.

Quilt Retreat – Lucie…. The April retreat is completed booked. If you have not turned in your monies for the retreat, please do so at this meeting.

Pro-Bono Quilts – Deb and Lorraine…. “I hope everyone enjoyed the January meeting, tying and labeling and closing pro bono quilts. If you didn’t return the finished quilt you were working on last month please do so at the February meeting. Thank you once again for all of your help. There will be kits and batting at the February meeting if you still haven’t turned in a quilt this year.” Deb.

2019 Raffle Quilt – Kathy…. Those of you who picked up a block packet at the January meeting, PLEASE return the finished blocks to me at the February 5, 2019 meeting. All packets must be returned ASAP.

Harborfields Library Exhibit – Judy…. The Library quilt exhibit is ongoing. There will be a Reception on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 7 – 8:30 PM. All members who have a quilt hanging at the exhibit may pick their quilt up at that time.

QUILT CAMP – Jo M…. We have secured a date and Jo M. has volunteered to run this year’s Quilt Camp. The date will be Saturday, May 18, 2019. Thank you Jo M. for volunteering for this fun project! Sign ups should start soon! If you have a project you would like to teach, please contact Jo M.

Book Raffle – Lucille…. Book raffle tickets will be available for sale at the meeting. Come by and take a look and take a chance on a book!!!

Operation Veronica – Lucille and Gilma…. Continue thanks for the donations to this very worthy cause. Ongoing collections will continue at each meeting.

Website and Facebook – Kathy…. Lots of new and exciting things are going on at the Website and Facebook! Come take a look and see what’s happening! You might even find a “Challenge or two!!!”

Food Pantry – If you have any non-perishable food items that you would live to donate, please bring then in to the meeting. We will leave them for the Church’s Food Pantry.

JANUARY 8, 2019 MEETING REMINDER

Hello Members!

Please allow me to be one of the first to wish all of you a very Happy New Year! Let’s make 2019 a Year to Quilt! Make a resolution to do more quilting!

Now for the original purpose of this notice.

The January 8, 2019 Meeting Reminder –

PRESIDENT – Michelina Maguire….Don’t forget the President’s challenge!! We ONLY have 6 months left to complete the project!! The four seasons. 4-10 inch squares showing the four seasons in any direction you choose. Across, down or two on the top and two below.

MEMBERSHIP – Janice and Sue….Our Fat Quarter theme for January is plaids.

HOSPITALITY – Joan and Barbara….Members will be contacted by the committee via postcard to bring in desserts for the meeting.

BLOCK OF THE MONTH – Karen and Barbara….We hope you have time now to finish up your House Blocks with your winter scene picture windows and the Mug Blocks using your beautiful floral fabrics for your favorite mugs. Please bring your finished blocks to our January meeting. These are quick and easy 6 1/2″ blocks. We are making 4 (or more) of each to be handed in and raffled off to a BOM participating quilter. Attached are instructions and pictures.

PROGRAMS – Jean, Alyson and Liz….We have reserved Saturday, January 5th as a UFO/free sew day at Christ Lutheran Church from 9-4. The group’s power strips and irons will be available. Bring your own lunch and beverages.

PRO BONO QUILTS – Debbie and Lorraine….Wow! another year has gone by can you believe it!!!!! At Huntington Quilters the January 8th 2019 meeting is our PRO BONO night. I will be bringing enveloped quilts for the membership to close, tie and attach labels.

Please bring the following sewing items that night. General sewing supplies, scissors, needle and thread and if you have LARGE EYE needles to tie quilts with. The larger the better.

A few of you may bring your sewing machines to envelope quilts if we finish the ones I am bringing. I will also have more kits available to take home and work on during the cold snowy days of January. Happy New Year everyone. See you January 8th.

2019 RAFFLE QUILT- Kathy K….We are already busy working on the Raffle Quilt for 2019. Packets for the quilt blocks will be distributed to the members for assistance in assembly. Please stop by the table and pick up a block packet or two. Looking forward to seeing our latest Raffle Quilt.

BOOK RAFFLE – Lucille, Laura and Kathy….Tickets for the book raffle are 3 for $1.00. Drop by the table and see our fantastic books and try your luck. Thanks again for your support!

OPERATION VERONICA – Lucille & Gilma….Thank you to all the Guild members for your generous donations in support of Operation Veronica! To date we have collected 82 pillowcases. A special thanks to Brigitte M. and the North Fork Quilters from the ELIQG who made 15 pillowcases to donate to Operation Veronica! All donations are greatly appreciated.

FOOD PANTRY….Please remember to support the food pantry at the Church. We can always remembers those less fortunate than us, especially at this time of year!

December 4, 2018 Meeting Reminder

Hello Ladies,

This is the December 4, 2018 meeting reminder. This meeting is our Holiday Celebration. The meeting hall will be open early. Why not come down a bit early to help us set up for the festivities.

HOSPITALITY….Barbara and Joan – Holiday Party. If you did not sign up at the November meeting, please bring appetizers if you last name is A to O and dessert P to Z.

PROGRAMS….Jean, Alyson and Liz –December meeting-don’t forget, bring a hand made Holiday ornament if you want to participate in the annual ornament swap.
For the Christmas gift exchange- if you would like to participate, bring in a wrapped gift- NEW, sewing related(something you would like to receive) worth $10 for the exchange.

December 8th 2018 is our Tuffet class with Erin Underwood- there is still time to register for a fun day making a completed project. Class is at Christ Lutheran Church at 9 AM-Class fee is $60 plus supplies. Contact Jean @ Huntingtonquilters@gmail.com if interested.

January 5th, 2019 is our UFO day at Christ Lutheran Church. A Sewing Day to help you catch up on completing your UFO’s, or to start a new project. This will be an unstructured day of sewing. Please let us know if you are planning to attend so that we can be sure to have enough outlets available. Bring your own lunch- stay 1 hour or stay all day. Hours are from 9-4.

At the February 5th, 2019 meeting we will have Teri Lucas as a guest speaker presenting a trunk show. Quilting blogger, TerifiCreations, she is a free motion quilter with a passion for teaching, giving quilters permission and the knowledge to do the quilting they want to do is the goal.

Also-If you have one of the round robins- please bring it in so that we can continue to pass it around.

BLOCK OF THE MONTH…Karen and Barbara -Both blocks are due at the January meeting. We hope you having fun working on your Home for the Holidays blocks and Cup blocks before you get too busy with the holiday season. Call us if you have any questions.

PRO-BONO QUILTS….Debbie and Lorraine – We’d like to thank all of the ladies who have donated a top or a finished quilt for Pro Bono Quilts. If you still haven’t donated there is still plenty of time. Don’t forget as an obligation to the guild you are required to donate one quilt per year. At the January 8, 2019 meeting, we will be having our Pro Bono Quilt night. So don’t forget to mark your calendars.

2018 RAFFLE QUILT…. Lynne R. – All raffle tickets are due at the December meeting. The beautiful quilt will be raffled off at the meeting.

HARBORFIELDS LIBRARY QUILT SHOW….Judy K. – You must bring in your quilt to the December meeting. Judy Knorr has distributed the necessary entry form. Please pin the entry form to your quilt.

There will be no other guild activities during our Holiday Party. This is so all committee members may enjoy the festivities. All regular activities will resume at our January 8, 2019 meeting.

NOVEMBER 6, 2018 MEETING REMINDER 

Hello Ladies!
This is the Monthly Meeting Reminder for the November 6, 2018 meeting. The meeting starts at 7:30 pm. The hall is open earlier. Won’t you come down a bit early and give us a hand setting up for our meeting.

MEMBERSHIP…. Janice and Sue – The 2018-2019 Membership Application is located in the Membership at the header of this site. If you haven’t already done so please bring your application and membership dues with you to the meeting. The November meeting is the last chance to sign up for membership. After the November meeting, unpaid members will be removed from mailing lists.

MEMBERSHIP FAT QUARTER RAFFLE THEME….is FALL! Bring a Fat Quarter with you to enter to win! Don’t forget to wear your Name Tag and enter a raffle to win!

BLOCK OF THE MONTH….Karen and Barbara – You have to be in it to win!! Did you finish a 2017-2018 Block of the Month and make a monthly wall hanging or quilt top??? If so, please remember to bring them to the November meeting to be in a raffle drawing for wonderful prizes!

2018-2019 Block of the Month….The leaves are falling! Please bring your 4 (or more) Leaf Blocks to the November meeting. Blocks will be raffled off to one or two members participating in this month’s Block of the Month. Pattern attached below.

HOSPITALITY…. Barbara and Joan – Post cards have been sent out to members asking for desserts for the meeting. We greatly appreciate all the delicious desserts that are brought to the meetings.

PRO BONO QUILTS…. Debbie and Lorraine – Our members continue to make so many beautiful quilts for Pro Bono. Remember, each member is required to make at least ONE Pro Bono quilt per year.

PROGRAMS….Jean, Liz and Alyson – The program for November meeting is a trunk show by our own Marion Shipley. She will present her “Journey of a Quilter” and will share her wonderful quilt.

Don’t forget about the Tuffet workshop on December 8th. Many people expressed an interest in taking it so please send your registration checks in to reserve your spot-$60, mailed to Jean R

December is our holiday party. Bring in a homemade holiday ornament if you want to take part in the exchange.

If you want to participate in the gift exchange, please bring in a NEW quilting related gift to swap valued at $10-something that you would like to receive.

OPERATION VERONICA…. Lucille & Gilma – A special “Thank you” to all the guild members for their generous donations to Operation Veronica. So far, we have collected 52 pillowcases. The November meeting collection is in honor of Veteran’s Day. Attached is a list of suggested donations. Thank you again for all your support.

2018 RAFFLE QUILT…. Lynne – Members your participation in our raffle packet pick-up and check/stub drop-off has been terrific. Thank you. We have extra raffle tickets available. You never know which one is going to be the one! Our Raffle Quilt 2018 will be displayed at our meeting. We will have envelopes ready for every member. Please come to the Raffle Quilt table at your earliest convenience during our meeting. Each envelope contains 6 raffle ticket books and a picture of our quilt. Each member is required to purchase or sell 4 raffle ticket books.

PRESIDENT’S CHALLENGE….Michelina -To follow is the information regarding the President’s Challenge. The completed project is due in June, 2019.
FOUR SEASONS – Four 10 inch blocks. Each block is a season, winter, spring, summer and fall. They can go in any direction, horizontal, vertical or in a square, two across and two below.

ROW BY ROW PROJECT….Judy sent out a reminder last month to all participants. The Row by Row was started in Sept. We have two groups of 10 and it will continue through June.

SUNSHINE AND FLOWERS….Kathy R. If you know of a member who could use a little Sunshine and Flowers please let us know.

WEBSITE AND FACEBOOK PAGE….Kathy K. Continuing to update both the website and Facebook pages. Check them out for the latest information.

OCTOBER 2, 2018 MEETING REMINDER 

Hello Ladies!

It’s getting to be that time again! Can you feel it coming? The cooler weather, the lower humidity, the crispness in the air! YES, AUTUMN IS COMING!!!

This is our monthly meeting reminder. The next meeting is on Tuesday, October 2, 2018. The meeting start time is 7:30 PM. The hall is open earlier for set up, please consider coming down a little early to help set out the hall for our meeting.

MEMBERSHIP…. Janice and Sue – The 2018-2019 Membership Application is located in the membership tab above. If you haven’t already done so please bring your application and membership dues with you to the October 2, 2018 meeting. All membership dues are due by this meeting.

MEMBERSHIP FAT QUARTER RAFFLE THEME….is ORANGE. Bring a Fat Quarter with you to enter to win!

Don’t forget to wear your name badge. You will be entered into a raffle for a 1/2 yard of fabric when you sign in with your name badge.

TREASURER….Lucie Our Treasurer will not be available for the October meeting. If anyone needs reimbursement for expenses, they should send their receipts to Lucie with a notation of their name and the category to attribute it to and she will happily put it in the mail.

BLOCK OF THE MONTH….Karen and Barbara – The participation in the September BOM was great! Congratulations to Diana on winning 20 – 12″ blocks!!!

We are looking forward to seeing all the spooky and fun Halloween squares at the October meeting. Attached is this month’s pattern – quick and easy. There is still time to make it and be part of the fun. The blocks will be collected and 1 or 2 lucky BOM participants will win the blocks.

BLOCK OF THE MONTH 2017-2018 PRIZE DRAWING!!!
Did you finish some of last year’s Block of Month as an Individual Block Wall Hanging or as a Table Runner or Small Quilt or Other Item or put all the blocks together as a quilt top? If you did – great — bring your finished items to the November meeting to be in the drawing for 3 special prizes. If not, then you still have time to finish a BOM(s) to be in the drawing at the November meeting.
Entries must meet the following guidelines:
Individual Block – quilted with binding.
Table Runner/Small Quilt/Other Item – quilted with binding.
Full Size Quilt Top – 12 blocks sewn together (does not need to be quilted)./
Bring your finished item(s) to the NOVEMBER meeting – Lucky winners will be picked from a random drawing. You have to be in it to win it! Good Luck!

HOSPITALITY….Barbara and Joan Post cards have been sent out to members asking for desserts. We appreciate all the delicious desserts that are brought to the meetings.

PRO BONO QUILTS…. Debbie and Lorraine – Just a reminder. All members are REQUIRED to make and turn in ONE quilt per year as part of your membership requirements. See the Ladies for fabric and kits to make your Pro Bono donation.

Anthony the Scissor Man will be there starting at 6:30. If anyone is interested in having their scissors sharpened.

Nancy from OSQ will be vending so bring some spending money!

The first workshop we are taking reservations for is Erin Underwood’s Tuffet Class back due to popular demand! It will be on December 8th at our meeting spot, the Christ Lutheran Church. You can make a squffet or tuffet! Sign ups sheets will be at the October meeting, feel free to sign up then and bring a check for $60! You can buy supplies from her or on your own. Supply list will be at the meeting.

QUINIPET RETREAT…. Lucie – Any quilter who has signed up for the November retreat to Quinipet and has not yet paid, should bring a check to the meeting in the amount of $200/payable to Huntington Quilters. If you are unsure about your payment, please email Lucie at Lbee47@msn.com. The retreat is full.

2018 RAFFLE QUILT…. Lynne – Our Raffle Quilt 2018 will be displayed at our meeting. We will have envelopes ready for every member. Please come to the Raffle Quilt table at your earliest convenience during our meeting. Each envelope contains 6 raffle ticket books and a picture of our quilt. HOLIDAY GIFT CAMP….Lauren – Projects and signup sheets will be available for the projects for the Holiday Gift Camp. The camp is scheduled for Saturday October 20, 2018 at our current meeting location. If you have a project you would like to teach, please see Lauren at the meeting. All teachers should bring in a Student Supply list for their project.

ROW BY ROW PROJECT….Judy sent out a reminder last month to all participants. The Row by Row is starting in Sept.

2018 RAFFLE QUILT…. Lynne – Our Raffle Quilt 2018 will be displayed at our meeting. We will have envelopes ready for every member. Please come to the Raffle Quilt table at your earliest convenience during our meeting. Each envelope contains 6 raffle ticket books and a picture of our quilt. Each member is required to purchase or sell 4 raffle ticket books. If you find that you don’t have an envelope waiting for you please let us know. Thank you, Raffle Committee

HOLIDAY GIFT CAMP….Lauren – Projects and signup sheets will be available for the projects for the Holiday Gift Camp. The camp is scheduled for Saturday October 20, 2018 at our current meeting location. If you have a project you would like to teach, please see Lauren at the meeting. All teachers should bring in a Student Supply list for their project.

ROW BY ROW PROJECT….Judy sent out a reminder last week to all participants. The Row by Row is starting in Sept.
We have two groups of 10 and it will continue through June.

SUNSHINE AND FLOWERS….Kathy R. If you know of a member who could use a little Sunshine and Flowers please let us know.

FOOD PANTRY DONATIONS….We will, on an ongoing basis, be collecting non-perishable food items for the Christ Lutheran Church’s food pantry. If you have anything you would like to donate, please bring it in.

JUNE 5, 2018 MEETING REMINDER

Hello Ladies!
It has been a wonderfully creative and fun year of quilting. The June 5, 2018 meeting is our year end celebration. Our guild year ends this month with a wonderful shared meal with our members.
The meeting hall will be open at 6:30 pm. Won’t you please stop down a bit early and help us set up for our celebration.

HOSPITALITY…. We need our members to bring in the following items:
Last names A to L – please bring in an appetizer.
Last names M to Z – please bring in a dessert.
Members have already signed up for a ham, chicken and punch. As well as ice, paper products and centerpieces.
Looking forward to all the delicious items our members bring for us to enjoy.

MEMBERSHIP APPLICATIONS…. Please remember to bring in your 2018-2019 Membership Application form and the dues to the June meeting.
You can print out the form from our website – Huntingtonquilters.com It’s under the MEMBERSHIP tab. Print out a copy and submit it with your dues – $30.00 payable by CHECK ONLY to Huntington Quilter’s Guild.

All membership applications must be submitted and dues paid by the October 2, 2018 meeting.

The Membership committee will have a few copies available at the meeting if you would like to renew at this time.

BLOCK OF THE MONTH….Don’t forget to bring in your Butterfly blocks. Can’t wait to see what you have created! Thank you Karen for a wonderfully creative Block of the Month quilt. I look forward to seeing what you have for us for next year!

MEMBERSHIP FAT QUARTER RAFFLE….There will NOT be a Fat Quarter Raffle at our June meeting. Thank you Janice and Sue for organizing this monthly raffle and for all your hard work with membership.

OPERATION VERONICA…. Janet Godfrey from Operation Veronica and I would like to thank all the Guild members for their generous donations over the last months. The many donations of food, supplies and about 80 pillowcases were sent to our active service members serving overseas. If you need a quick project to do over the summer, think of making a pillowcase. Any fabric as well as patriotic can be used. If you need a flyer with the donations list or pillowcase instructions, I’ll have some at the June meeting.

HOLIDAY GIFT CAMP…. On Saturday, October 20, 2018 Lauren G. will be chairing our first HOLIDAY GIFT CAMP. This event will be a day of crafting gift items in preparation of the Holiday Season.

If you would like to teach a project, please bring in a sample of your project to the June meeting for us to see! Sign ups will be available at both the June and September meetings. Come and join in the Holliday Gift creating fun!
PROGRAMS…..Ladies, Thank you all so much for the incredible year! Each month brought us so much creativity and entertainment! Enjoy your summer and rest up for the continued excellent programs I know you will have in store for us in the coming year!

THIS AND THAT….

FABRIC SALE – SATURDAY, JUNE 9, 2018 – We are helping a quilter’s family deal with the loss of their loved one. A devoted quilter who left us way too early. There are many beautiful, high quality fabrics for sale at wonderfully discounted prices. This sale is being held at Michelina Maguire’s home from 8:30 AM to 2PM. This event, while not a guild event, is open to all of our members. All proceeds of the sale will go directly to the family. Won’t you come and see what’s available for sale.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members for your continued support and help this past year! It’s been a year of learning new things and enjoying time spent in the company of you wonderful Ladies! I am looking forward to what we have in store for the next year!

March 6, 2018 Meeting Agenda

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm by our President, Michelina Maguire.
We were fortunate to have a guest speaker at our meeting. Joyce Fischer, an antique quilt collector and a professional quilt appraiser. Joyce enthralled us with her collection of antique quilts. Her collection included quilts ranging from the Civil War until the 21st Century. She discussed the fabrics and colors used and patterns selected throughout the years.

After a wonder showing of her quilts, there was a quick break for refreshments and the meeting business was brought to order.

The Membership Raffles Winners were:

Block of the Month Raffle Winner – for the Kite – Sachiko

Book Raffle – The winners were Ellen, Carol, and Lauren

Pro Bono Raffle – Sheryl

Congratulations to all the raffle winners.

Other Business discussed were:

Food donations for the Church. Any donations may be left in the hall’s kitchen area.

The Honey Bee Raffle – Lucille will be having a basket wrapping session at her house on Wed., March 14 at 11:30 AM to prepare and wrap all the baskets. A light lunch to be served.

Quilt Camp – The table with the projects is set up and members are signing up for classes. We are still looking for additional projects. If you have a project, bring a sample with you to the April 3, 2018 meeting for display and for member signup.

The 2018 Raffle Quilt in progress and Lynne and her assistants are keeping it well in hand. Photos of the quilt blocks are posted on the webpage under Guild Activities/ Raffle quilt.

Discussion took place regarding a Row by Row quilt project. Judy will put together the rules and obligations for a Row by Row quilt. Minimum of 10 members must sign up for this project. More information to come.

February 2, 2018 Meeting

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm by our President, Michelina Maguire.

Our meeting was attended by Esterita Austin.  She presented a slide show of her incredible quilts and quilting techniques.  She has developed painting techniques that create incredible quilts.

MEMBERSHIP BUSINESS…. 

RAFFLE QUILT for 2018….Chaired by Lynne.  Anyone interested in completing a block for the quilt, please pick up the block kits.  Blocks must be returned by the February, 2018 meeting.

BLOCK OF THE MONTH…. So many beautiful blocks done this month!  Warm Mittens galore!

March’s Block is the KITE!  Let’s bring on Spring with this adorable block.

HONEY BEE RAFFLE….Chaired by Lucille.  Donated items are being collected for the HONEY BEE Raffle baskets.  The HONEY BEE Raffle will be held during the APRIL 3, 2018 meeting.  Collection of donations to end at this Feb meeting.  Lucille says she needs more baskets.  Helpers will be needed at the end of March to assemble baskets and prepare for the meeting.  Please contact Lucille to help out.

QUILT CAMP….. Saturday, April 21, 2018 .  Anyone interested in teaching a project, please see Kathy or Madeline.  Teacher sign-up sheet available for projects.  If you are interested in teaching a project at Quilt Camp, please bring in your sample and a student supply list to the March and April meetings.

PROGRAMS….Chaired by Jean, Alyson and Liz.  These Ladies have organized a terrific slate of events for the remainder of the year.   Lots of fun events and programs still to come.   Here are some of the upcoming events:

There was a discussion regarding starting a Row by Row project.  10 people per quilt, each one makes a row on a quilt and then passes the project onto the next person.   Judy will be gathering information and names.

TUFFETT CLASS…. This class was cancelled due to the winter storm.  The class has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 26, 2018, a date that was amenable to both the instructor and the guild.

JENN’S JOURNEY…. January 20th class had to be cancelled due to illness.  A new date is being discussed.  We will let you know when one is set.
